Jonas Johé and his team have developed a modern and fair solution that allows you to reliably find participants for your academic work—whether it’s for a bachelor's, master's thesis, or doctoral thesis. Thanks to Survey Circle, I was able to gather enough participants for my doctoral research in a short amount of time, significantly accelerating my research process. The principle is simple: you participate in the academic surveys of other researchers on Survey Circle, earn points, and thereby rank your own survey higher. I've tried to recruit participants through a number of different sites over the past few months as I needed a lot of responses to my study, and SurveyCircle was by far and away the best way of getting a large number of participants. Also the site is well designed and very easy to use!

SurveyCircle has been a life saver for me. I am glad I stumbled upon it. I had been sending out emails to various different groups on LinkedIn and Facebook on my own for 2 months. Absolutely no one responded. Of course there are so many scams out there, I can’t blame them. Once I joined SurveyCircle and participated by taking others’ that I was qualified for, I FINALLY started getting participation. As you participate in surveys, your own starts moving in the rankings. it is so exciting and exhilarating. As you move up in the rankings, you get the opportunity to have your survey posted officially on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and LinkedIn…and all those social networking sites, many of which I never thought about joining. I don’t want to date myself, but……SurveyCircle is da bomb!! JLH

Great Service. I collected a medium sized sample for a study on romantic relationships. Since my eligibility criteria were rather restrictive, I did not expect to get that many participants from SC. It worked out really well regardless and the quality of the data was better than that of data collected through Facebook (i.e. the ratio of complete vs. incomplete answers was twice as large). Slight drawback will probably be the very selective sample you get from using research exchange platforms. But considering the selection bias associated with recruiting online, academics (or so-called WEIRD people) are more likely to respond to free online studies anyway. Regardless, a quick way to get data of decent quality. So overall, I can only give out a straight-forward recommendation.
