Brilliant tool for getting survey responses. I've tried to recruit participants through a number of different sites over the past few months as I needed a lot of responses to my study, and SurveyCircle was by far and away the best way of getting a large number of participants. Also the site is well designed and very easy to use!

Recommendation! I highly recommend this to researchers and students. The datasets are mostly usable, and I was able to obtain a high-quality sample as a result. If you purchase a participant upgrade and receive unusable datasets, you can contact the support team and they will increase your participant limit by the number of unusable datasets. Very great!

Great tool, especially for students earning respondents for there Survey. It takes some time until you get your first responses but in case you get high enough in the surveyranking (by taking other surveys) it’s a big big help! I reached 100 respondents in 3 Weeks. I can highly recommend this Platform!

Great Service. I collected a medium sized sample for a study on romantic relationships. Since my eligibility criteria were rather restrictive, I did not expect to get that many participants from SC. It worked out really well regardless and the quality of the data was better than that of data collected through Facebook (i.e. the ratio of complete vs. incomplete answers was twice as large). Slight drawback will probably be the very selective sample you get from using research exchange platforms. But considering the selection bias associated with recruiting online, academics (or so-called WEIRD people) are more likely to respond to free online studies anyway. Regardless, a quick way to get data of decent quality. So overall, I can only give out a straight-forward recommendation.

Overall, I had a really good experience and found SurveyCircle very helpful. Some things to be aware of if you're thinking about using it: (1) there are things you can do that will have a significant impact on how many survey responses you get (e.g. some of the biggest ones are that you do need to take a lot of other people's surveys and get a lot of points before you start getting a lot of responses coming in, and also if your survey's too long, it's likely to get less responses); and (2) you will get some responses where people clearly answered very hastily and didn't fill it out properly (e.g. straight-lining scales in your survey), so you should probably have clear-cut criteria ready to use to exclude certain survey responses for when people have clearly just sped through it without answering it properly, which would screw up the validity of your study if you have enough of those responses in there. So what I would say is that if you're aware of some of the limitations and challenges of SurveyCircle and willing to navigate those, it is worth using for many types of survey and can be a very useful tool. Just go in with your eyes wide open and try to use a strategy to get the most out of it. Also, please, please, please, when you're answering other people's surveys to get points so your survey can get more responses, take the time to do it properly. DON'T just rush through it and not answer properly. Answer it how you'd want people to answer yours. I was saddened by how common it is for people to just rush through the survey in like 2 minutes and not even answer things properly (e.g. straight-lining and stuff like that). Don't be one of those people. If everyone did it like that, the platform would have no usefulness whatsoever. So just answer people's surveys properly.

SurveyCircle has been a massive help during my research. The point based system ensures fair participation and offers a large number of participants if you are willing to put in the work. Safety measures are also set in place to ensure quality responses. Highly recommended. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that direct emails tend to take a while to get a response, however contact through the website itself is fast.

The system of collecting points by participating in other people's studies in order to move up your own study in the survey ranking is great because that way, you get back what you are willing to give. Extremely helpful website for survey participants This is an extremely helpful website for getting more survey respondents for my dissertation thesis. It's super easy to use, and I really like the system. The more you do people's surveys, essentially the more they do yours (because of the ranking and points). It's a great idea! It has given me less stress about getting enough participants. You have the ability to show participant requirements too so you are making sure you can target the right people. I highly recommend for anyone needing more participants for their survey.
