A very helpful, great concept! Thanks to the platform, I was able to recruit a few more participants while also helping others. I also really enjoyed filling out other surveys and learning about new topics. In my opinion, the likelihood of poor-quality data does increase, but even after filtering out a lot of data points, I still benefited significantly from SurveyCircle.
It was super helpful to get meaningful responses. If there are any issues, the team will respond right away. I would recommend it!

Great Service. I collected a medium sized sample for a study on romantic relationships. Since my eligibility criteria were rather restrictive, I did not expect to get that many participants from SC. It worked out really well regardless and the quality of the data was better than that of data collected through Facebook (i.e. the ratio of complete vs. incomplete answers was twice as large). Slight drawback will probably be the very selective sample you get from using research exchange platforms. But considering the selection bias associated with recruiting online, academics (or so-called WEIRD people) are more likely to respond to free online studies anyway. Regardless, a quick way to get data of decent quality. So overall, I can only give out a straight-forward recommendation.

I've tried to recruit participants through a number of different sites over the past few months as I needed a lot of responses to my study, and SurveyCircle was by far and away the best way of getting a large number of participants. Also the site is well designed and very easy to use!

You might notice that longer or denser questionnaires don’t always perform as well. Since many users are trying to earn points quickly, shorter and more engaging surveys tend to get better results. But that’s something you can work around with good design. Once you’ve earned enough points, the process becomes much more efficient and less time-consuming than trying to recruit through Facebook groups or other manual methods. If you're looking for a low-cost, student-friendly way to get high-quality responses, SurveyCircle is absolutely worth it.

Time consuming, but absolutely worth it Okay, it takes hours and days to collect enough points to get to the top of the rankings. But I learned a lot about how other students design surveys and I would say that I was able to improve my own surveys considerably. And I also gained interesting insights into other topics and research. I got enough participants for my own two surveys that I would definitely use it again. For me, the most transparent and fair platform for sharing surveys. And great support when I had questions. Thanks SurveyCircle!
